I am a tyre tec with over 25 years experience in car & motorcycle tyres. I have had first hand experience in the motorsport world both as a driver & rider on and off tarmac. More recently, the last ten years my attentions have been focused on the 4x4 world, or more precisely anything Land Rover.

Nearly time for a wash......
Now with the bulkhead removed the only bits to go from the top side of the chassis is the engine/gearbox lump and the fuel tank. I've removed everything apart from the mounts chassis to engine wise but the fuel tank will be next to come off. Once that is out of the way I want to push the whole thing out of the workshop, block up any pipework on the engine and degrease and steam clean the thing before engine removal, the reason being at the moment the chassis makes the ideal engine and gearbox carrier . I will be cleaning off the axles and everything at the same time so hopefully when I lift the chassis off the axles I wont have to drag them all outside again and I can get on with refurbing them .
