So out with the engine and gearbox and she really is looking bare now. As I post this entry I'm removing the axles, remaining suspension and steering box. The plan is that I'm left with just the chassis on blocks. I had planned to simply throw this chassis away but as I'm going to be a while searching parts etc I fancy having ago at either repairing or modifying this one into something I may use off road.
The main thing I really hadn't took into consideration on this was just how knackered the old girl had got. Round about ten years ago this was a seriously clean example and to me having done loads and loads of jobs on it in this time I didn't think it had gone down hill like it has, I suppose this is what happens when you start fixing it only when it breaks rather than keeping on top of it all. Mind you this isn't the only Land Rover we have so unfortunately this has been the neglected one over the last 2 or 3 years.
